It's cold here this morning. Just had some instant message with Chuck and Uncle John called last night with the latest info. We love you all so much. If you need an understanding ear, give me a call. I can sure relate to what you are going through. You know in your mind what is best for Jimmy but minds and hearts have a way of differing in opinion. Chuck gave me the name and number of the hospital, so I'll try to catch up with someone today.

Dear Kevin,

Good grief, sounds like things are rather difficult
right now. I'm definitely praying, and I've asked
several of my friends to pray also. I had never heard
about the treatment he's receiving, but Franklin
explained it all to me and it does sound promising.
Was the 911 call on Sunday only a minor setback? Is
everything alright? Please let me know as soon as
possible. Where are you staying? How long will you be
there? How are your Mom and Amy holding out. How are
you...I mean REALLY how are you...not just "fine".

Nothing much new with me. Actually, there are a couple
things, but I'm at work right now and don't have a lot
of time to write. Please write soon!

Love,
Tori

Kevin,

I wrote Amy and this was part of the email she sent
me. I thought you might like seeing it. I admire you
so much, Kevin...always have. I remember when I was
just a kid I used to totally idolize you (actually I
think I just had a crush on you!) And the more I learn
about you as a real person, the more I feel genuinely
privileged to know you. It breaks my heart to know
you're having to go through this...I can only imagine
how painful it is. It's comforting though to know you
have a strong faith...I know you're being well taken
care of.
Love,
Tori

You know, when Kevin was just a little boy,
Mom nicknamed him "Kevin
from Heaven." He has certainly earned that title
and, I think, deserves a
medal. Kevin proved to be Caretaker Home Nurse
par excellence. Even the
Burzynski Institute was impressed with him. I
have been inspired by him.
Kevin is, of course, uniquely qualified to handle
an often difficult patient
under the influence of toxic substances. After
all, he's had years of
practice as managing director at a Halfway House
for coke-heads and
meth-crazed drug addicts, even having had to
pursuade some on occasion to
surrender knives or other weapons. (I shudder to
think about that.) Kevin
had such a way with Daddy, it was more than
skill; it's truly a gift.
