"Theocracy" comes from two Greek words, "theos," God, and "kratein," to rule. A "theocratic" state acknowledges that God has a right to dictate state policy.

Secular Humanism is the religion in which man is god.

This list was started by a Christian who opposes the Secular Humanist Theocracy now reigning in America. He supports the ideals of most of the Founding Fathers, who believed that the State should not support ecclesiastical denominations of Christianity with tax dollars, but also believed that the State was "under God" and had duties to the God of the Hebrew-Christian Bible.

Theocracy does not mean that the clergy rule the state. The manager of this list is not a member of any ecclesiastical denomination, and advocates a clergy-free Theocracy. Nor does a Theocracy require a monarchy or any other form of political organization. The manager of this list does not support any system of politics, but defends a decentralized society.

The manager of this list disputes the modern notion of "separation of church and state." This list is especially for those who wish to share historical and legal evidence of the Christian roots of America, and the inescapably religious nature of society. Those who support the "separation of church and state" are welcome to enter the discussion and defend a secular society.

By examining the relationship between between religion and law, the manager of this list hopes to advance a Christian but non-ecclesiastical, non-political vision of society.
